The Book
English for Speakers of Urdu: A Proficiency Course has been written for the purpose of empowering Urdu speakers and improving their chances of employability by helping them become proficient in English. It is aimed at native speakers who lack selfconfidence because they are not fluent in English. The book starts with the basics—the conventions for writing uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet and the sounds and vocabulary of English—and then moves on to important topics in grammar as well as punctuation and oral communicative functions that users of English are commonly required to perform. The book is accompanied by an audio CD.
