Soumhya Venkatesan is a lecturer in Social Anthropology at the University of Manchester. She did her BA in History at the Women’s Christian College, University of Madras, an MA in Art History at the National Museum Institute in New Delhi and her M Phil and Ph D in Social Anthropology at Christ’s College, Cambridge. She moved to Manchester in 2006 following a Hunt Memorial postdoctoral fellowship (Wenner-Gren Foundation) and a postdoctoral research position at King’s College, Cambridge.
