This course, prepared by a team of teachers from different colleges of the University of Delhi, is aimed at developing Hindi language proficiency, literary sensibility and creative expression in addition to engaging the students with some live issues faced by the contemporary world.
The course aims to enhance the language proficiency of students at three levels : reading, understanding and writing in Hindi. It also aims at enhancing their ability to analyze literary texts of known creative writers in the language and apply them in different fields of applications. The course material is task-oriented and dynamic, and calls for an interactive pedagogy.
The book has six units and is broadly graded in terms of difficulty levels. The Units are related to

- critical Issues of modern development reflected in the creativity;
- question of Indian society : expression and creativity;
