Bharat mein Rastravaad  is a textbook for the ‘Nationalism in India’ paper[Bharat mein Rashtravaad ] of the Discipline Course-1 [DC-1] of Political Science implemented under the Four year Undergraduate Program of University of Delhi. This is one of the papers of the Second Semester of Discipline course of DC-I.   

The book is divided into five units: 1. Approaches to the Study of Nationalism; 2. Reformism and Anti-Reformism in the Nineteenth Century; 3. Nationalist Politics and Expansion of its Social Base; 4. Social Movements; 5. Partition and Independence. 

The book discusses the struggle of Indian people against colonialism. It looks at the struggle from different theoretical perspectives that highlight its different dimensions. It begins from nineteenth century Indian responses to colonial dominance in the form of reformism and its criticism and continues through various phases up to the events leading to partition and independence. The book also highlights various conflicts and contradictions by focusing on its different dimensions: communalism, class struggle, caste and gender questions.

The book will be useful for the undergraduate courses in political science of other Indian universities of Hindi speaking states in the country; and also for the aspirants of UPSC and allied civil services.
