On Course is a series of English Language coursebooks for classes 1-8. They are designed to ensure that students become commendably proficient in English as they proceed along the course. The course achieves this by enabling students to read efficiently for pleasure and for information, with texts chosen for their range and linguistic merit and by providing a rich cross-section of language work that cuts across skills areas, including special sections with notes on current usage, common errors and practice in reading aloud. It integrates the teaching of comprehension, grammar in use and guided composition and following a graded syllabus for the teaching of communicate skills and accuracy aspects such as pronunciation, spelling, punctuation and the use of the dictionary.
