When Nasreen loses both her parents, she goes to live with her grandparents. Living a cloistered life, she has no friends and when away from school, spends most of her time in the library. And then she finds Bangaru, the magical cat, who is to change her life. From that day onwards she is lonely no more. Nasreen, Murugan and the others join hands to beautify the park and fight the real-estate sharks to save their park. Nasreen also discovers the secret about Bangaru.
