This is an overview of India’s place in the world. It sheds light on Indian foreign policy from Independence to date. It critiques political realism as a “way of seeing” the world, especially in view of changing global context before and after the Cold War. Issues taken up include Kashmir, the human rights issue and the impact of Hindu nationalism. The main focus of the tract is on the nuclear weapons issue.
