The Book
Communication for Professional Successis a coursebook of general English for the undergraduate level. The first part of the book, ‘Communication Skills and Language’, has units on interpersonal communication, spoken communication, vocabulary and common errors made by non-native users of English, and information transfer. The second part, ‘Reading for Enrichment’, has two carefully chosen texts that should be of interest to students, each followed by exercises in reading comprehension, communication skills and language. On the whole, the book offers students adequate opportunities to work on their language and communication skills through guidelines and examples as well as a variety of challenging exercises.
