The Book
Nitishastra, Satyanishtha Evam Abhiruchi is a textbook for UPSC Mains General Studies Paper-IV. The core objective of the book is to provide systematic and relevant guidance and quality material to students preparing for Civil Services exams.
The book is written as per the syllabus. It provides a detailed account of various principles of ethics. Questions asked in previous years are given in boxes alongside the topic for better correlation. The authors have used their expertise to provide solutions to dilemmas that administrators face. The solutions incorporate principles and philosophies that lie behind them.
In 'Case Studies', realistic solutions are provided based on the authors’ knowledge of philosophy and administrative experience.
Students will find the simple, lucid, narrative style easy to understand; it will help them assimilate and prepare better for the exam, and boost their confidence.

The Author(s)
S S Baredia, is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer in the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. Before he joined the IAS in 2016, Mr. Baredia worked with Madhya Pradesh State Civil Services. He worked as Child Development Project Officer, Department of Women and Child Development; and served as CEO, Janpad Panchayat, Department of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development. He has wide experience as a civil servant. He has also taught Ethics in various coaching institutes in Delhi, Indore and Bhopal.
Ajab Lal Lilhare, is a postgraduate in English Literature. He has vast experience of teaching aspirants for UPSC, State PSC and other examinations. He is the director of Ajab’s Academy, Delhi.
